as part of the SOUTH EAST CORNWALL WELLBEING FESTIVAL - 14/15 Sept

What to expect:

This workshop is about stimulating conversation and improving wellbeing, through the sharing of stories of our favourite things.

Andy Copps will share tips and techniques in how to findour stories, using keepsake memorabilia, photos, books, music, precious items and memories.

Once stories have been found, Andy will demonstrate various ways in which these stories may be shared.

This is a relaxed gathering and attendees are encouraged to bring along a notebook/pen and a small ‘favourite thing’, that has a story to tell.

Walk and go West for that is the best.
Never go East or with Death you shall feast.

On the outskirts of a once thriving town in the 19th century, a young man goes out on his daily routine.

He discovers a secret from the past that the town had done all they could to hide, until now.

Celebrating World Book Day for grown-ups

World Book Day is the 3rd March this year and typically supported by schools and students.

The Roots Collective would like to celebrate the magic of stories with a grown-up audience.

Join us for a special evening at the intimate location of 'All Things Nice' in Ewell.

We cannot promise that all the stories will be nice but we can promise you an unforgettable experience.

Join 'The Roots Collective' storytellers Belinda Mckenna-Bicknell, James Canvin and Andy Copps in the telling of stories from the early edition of the Brothers Grimm's collection as well as other adapted tales. The wonderful cellist, Elizabeth Andrews, will also be performing to .

Puppet making Monsterclass with Puppeteer Robin Polfuss

A basic knowledge of sewing is recommended (or bring a friend who can help!) You can choose to hand sew or machine sew the puppet. If you have a sewing machine, you (or your friend) will need a working knowledge of how to use it.


On December 12, learn to make a Monster puppet! This is an online 3 hour workshop, using a simple pattern and some sewing to create a fun little Monster with an overbite, perfect for a holiday gift, someone to talk to when you’re lonely, or something to live under your bed and protect you from the dark!

Sunday, 12th of December, from 2pm to 5pm GMT.

£30 - Register your spot in class by Dec. 3rd for a 15% early-bird discount!

- Includes the pattern and instructions for the RoRo Mini Monster.

- Live 3 hour Monsterclass on Zoom, (with a tea break in the middle, of course).
- Live performance opportunity!

You will need to find or purchase your own materials for this class (a list of options will be provided; materials should be fairly low cost and easy to obtain.)

Please note 1 hour of individual prep time is required before the class starts. Additional time may be needed after the class for finishing touches.
